Description: Sarasota photoOn southwest Gulf coast, about 80 kilometres south of Tampa and a half-hour drive from St. Petersburg. Sub-tropical temperatures, averaging 361 days of sunshine a year. A cultural centre with many palatial homes, great beaches. 2000 population: 52,715.
Selected projects:
  • 1997 - Coordinated Elementary School Art Exhibit with Hamilton.
  • 1998 - Conducted Video Bootcamp, with participation by high-school students rom Hamilton.
  • 1999 - Sponsored Art on the Internet (with Bay Haven School, Sarasota) for students from Hamilton.
  • 2001 - Sponsored "City in a Box" at Selby Library: Students from Hamilton, Perpignan, Santo Domingo, Tel Mond and Vladimir exchanged boxes filled with information about their cities.
